If I can live my life with the knowledge
that all my troubles will, in time, disappear
and make an ally out of all my sorrows
reflecting the strength that comes with the fear
I will forever be victorious.
But, if for even the slightest moment,
I lose the steps I've kept in time,
and drop the torch that lights my way,
casting shadows on all the things I find,
and by stumbling, trip through hurdles-
soon to fall
please lend me a forgiving hand,
because the greatest weakness in my body
is the fact that after all,
I am only an imperfect man.
