Black and warm beats within
Oh what a sight to behold
I'm so glad you took a knife
And cut in me a deep hole
Sure it hurts like hell
And now there's blood stains
But wasn't it worth it to find
Just how I feel inside

See how I am not so different
See how my heart beats intently

Now we all know, thanks to you
What my soul consists of
For once you ripped bone and flesh
Removing my inner-self
I no longer could hide what I am

So here I stand, broken like all
So here I stand just for you

Now everyone sees
This pain and longing
I can no longer escape the feeling
But will it matter?
Only time will show
If your heart beats for me
As mine for you
