i looked for you tonight
strange
barely knowing each other and feeling such a tight bond to you
how did we both grow up in the same neighborhood
3 and half hours from civilization

i looked for you tonight
gazing and hands, arms, and faces
none of them were yours and it baffled me due to your constant presence in this bar

i looked for you tonight
my shoulders slumped into my back
smiling fading, stars leaving eyes, hands lazier
