Some say the simple things are what life’s about,
Diffusing roots in the soil of a content mind,
Sprouts of delight grow into a forest of nirvana,
The melodious tune of your voice is my drug,
And calms the tempests of a troubled psyche,
Taking pleasure in the soft stroke of your hand
As you paint my body with the vibrant colors of love,
Conversation follows the flow of an endless stream
As I quietly listen and drink the elixir of your words,
Night consumes the sky while we embrace each other,
An ocean of warmth washes over us,
Waves of blissful slumber crash as consciousness ebbs away,
Night retreats slowly as sunlight drips through the window,
We wake in a web of each other’s arms
As the sunrise stains the heavens with magnificent radiance,
I turn to gaze into the deep recesses of beautiful eyes,
And think to myself, oh the simple things…
