Specks of life
Crawling as frightened flies
Around a sugar-spill
Opened mouths lead to empty souls
Internal clattering lead to outside murmurings
Sighs and mumbles of a life-still-lived
Legs dancing in uncontrolled hustle
Interlocking and swerving
Searching and swirling
Eye contact is made and broken in an instant
Lives to be lived that could have been
Friends to be loved that can't ever be
All move;
As if in some erratic dream
Rushing towards their next tomorrow.
