Jaded Love
with a soft echoing breeze
like a cold rain that will freeze
I hold on to the last of my feelings
only by a thread
bitten by her bitter words
from someone I thought I loved
tied by a ring
so far away from shore
the beauty of a life
that is now fading away
what once felt like a lifetime
is now only a short dream
the visions of her are now jaded
and are no longer clear
there's no pain or hope
of a life I will never know
all I ever wanted
was the direction of the hour
so miss leading
I didn't question her beliefs
into the darkness I will go
now everything is gone
and i'm know alone
walking in her garden
her garden of old dreams
i will now wash my hands
