I'm sitting next to her,
but I don't dare say a word.
She's busy doing homework,
scribbling many notes.

My eyes are fixed on her.
My thoughts are running wild.
I wish that she would notice me,
or talk to me, or just smile.

I'm sitting right next to her,
and I'm just way too shy.
If I could get over my awkwardness,
that girl would surely be mine.
