Gathering the broken pieces of her dream,
Just to hear once again what each piece scream
And them throwing them up in the air,
Because she is going to have a new one, she don’t care
She don’t feel any more, not even the beat of drum,
And yes, she has become comfortably numb.

She was walking down the path covered with flowers and soft grass,
And she got up to realize all left beneath her feet were the broken pieces of glass
But she kept on walking because she is done pleading,
And doesn't matter how much it hurts because anyway she is already bleeding
She don’t remember anything of him, not even the slightest crumb,
And yes, she has become comfortably numb.

She walked and walked just to discover a vast ocean in front of her eyes,
She wondered in which pit hole she was living the world is so big and the sky so wide
So took the water and in her hand gulped it down her throat,
Just to realize its salty taste and the way it choked
She entered into the ocean just to listen if waves will hum,
And yes, she has become comfortably numb.

Floating on the top of highest wave watching as the sun sets,
Wondering who he was, want a rare kind of species that she met
She saw the clouds in the shade of crimson and pink,
And from the north peeped out the crescent moon as it winks
She stretched her hand so as hide the sun behind her thumb,
And yes, she has become comfortably numb

As the night falls she saw the sky full of shimmering stars,
Heaven decorated it pretty well the day which was her last
Still floating in the ocean not realizing as the water getting cold,
Smiling over the chances she took, yes she did fell for someone * and the act was pretty bold
All that was missing was him to hold her pinky and a glass of ***,
And yes she has become comfortably numb.

As the first ray of morning strikes at horizon where the sky and sea meets,
She was still floating on the ocean but this time she was at peace
Her eyes closed and a sweet smile on her lips,
She is gone leaving behind many except one… hearts to weep
It was a bright day just that the air was bit glum,
All was fine but just a feeling of numb.
