Either/Or

You may call this your heaven,
But I call it my hell.
We’re of differing opinions
(In case you couldn’t tell)
You say I’m the whiskey
And you’re the zinfandel.
That I’m going sixty,
And you’re stuck at twelve.
Well, you be north
And I’ll be south.
You be first
And I’ll be last.
You can’t have one without the other,
You can’t have the son without the mother.
