I will not be a forgotten son.
No, I will not be an unremembered one.
I'll be loud and clear,
When the end comes near
The earth will remember me
For happiness or misery.
Oh be certain,
The earth will remember me.

I'll scorch the earth
In Phaeton's likeness.
Shield your eyes from the brightness
Shield yourselves from the likeness.
You gave me the torch
To take up and run,
Well i'll take up my reins
And torch the earth
With apollo's sun.
Yes, I'll scorch the earth
Like Apollo's son.

I'll not spend my days
Being the unloved one.
I'll not come out of this maze
As the forgotten son.
So take my word
When I say it won't be absurd
That I will be history.
Oh, certainly take my word,
I will be their story.

I'll unite the masses.
I'll get rid of the classes.
I'll scorch the earth
And start over new
I'll rebirth the earth
And give it to you,
and you, and you, and you.
