If I should list

the metaphors unspoken

words I never

got around to say

I don’t guess

I’d ever have to wonder

why you called u-haul

and went away

Now people think I’m slipping

when they hear me

talking to a vision

in my head

walking down the street

alone and mumbling

all the little things

I left unsaid
