See,
what I'm trying to piece together
is a puzzle you knew all along—
you're probably not the missing piece,
but I'm almost positive you caught
sight of the image I was aiming to
create and you shared with me a
little bit of what I was missing,
nonetheless.

And I think it's incredibly amusing that
when a new flame burns out, bringing
everything with it to ash, the universe
does you a favour and lights an old
candle to get rid of the scent.
