Dec 2014
put your life into a plastic bag
no time to say goodbye
five in the morning
you walked out the door
I remember cold smell of winter
useless, to try to withhold you
I knew that I'd lose you
from the first time I saw you

never know why you had to go
you never told us a word

I remember the last time
you walked out into the rain
you looked to the sky
closed your umbrella
dancing with yourself
soaked to the skin

now I know what it feels like
I wish you were here
dancing with the rain
soaked to the skin

wave after wave into the night
memories fade to black and white
a deep cut with a cold razorblade
to the end of existence
it slowly slipped away

another winter
another season
we're getting older except you
memories getting colder
sometimes hurt a little less
got a picture of you
as you walk into the waves
gently wash away the red color
