Words spill out from burning lips
Dropping flat on the ground
Away from reaching finger tips
A puddle of words leaking around
Streaming in to the river of conversation
Were it is conformed and perverted
This place sure has imagination
Your words used against you
All for one and none for all
The whole place is a ****** zoo
Everyone takes a fall
Your words need an absolution
They belong to the river to barter
There is no solution
Just wounds and salt water
The cycle goes on and on
So painful and sore
Sense the first dawn
The river flows forever more

You
You are the rising sun
You are the only one
You are a thunder storm on a clear day
You a blizzard in the middle of may
You are the last blue freeze pop
You are that amazing day that will never stop
You are board games in the dead of night
You are my bright light
You are how I get by
You hold the stars up in the sky
You are the wind that blows us around
You are that pure and simple sound
You are me and I am you
You and i together, there is nothing we can't do
I added the last two lines a year after i wrote this. They just popped into my head one day

I've been waiting here
Waiting to hear from you
Its unlike you to play on fear
Its not something you would do
Oh where did you go
Did you happen to forget
Leaving me along at the show
Leaving me alone in the rain all wet
No shout no call hell not even a text
I do hope your alright
As always i know what happens next
Its always quite a sight
The yelling the regrets the crying
The hard silence between you and me
The feeling of no longer flying
Afraid of what we no longer see
I stand here dying in fright
I look down the foggy lane
I see the single head light
Thinking of things that drove me insane
You get out of the car
I'm so relieved in your warm embrace
You had come far
I could see it in your face
You hold me closer and apologize
The pain etched onto your face
The mist running through your eyes
"***** dinner lets go to my place."

Go down to the river and pray
Till you covered in mold and decay
In this time of introspection
You are finding your reflection
The river is murky and deep
People have minds and hearts to keep
All people gather there
The sounds of silence ring loudly in the air
Through times of grief and times of sorrow
And all the happiness to come and to follow
People die and people soar
And the river flows forever more

All things that are built fall apart
Even matters of the heart
The road is always turning
Bridges always burning
A series of brief connections
Losing your own reflection
Fall into the pit of your mind.
As everyone leaves you behind
Think of what has been burned
Things that cant be returned
The vapors of ghosts past.
fill your head at last
Screaming pain
You are not the same
You hear a voice, a different one
It carries down the sun
It makes it all right
It makes it so bright
She will get you out.
You have no doubt
A rope appears
It crushes all your fears
You climb up fast
Running from your past.
She holds you tight
As you drift into the night

All our words wear winter clothes
Leaving little to expose
The weak sunlight taps on your face
Slow motion seems to be the proper pace

The air is heavy and deep
A stare we love to keep
Snow falling like fluff
sometimes words aren't enough

We stand in the cold
Waiting for our story to unfold
We don't feel the wind blow
Only our warm glow

Under the dim sun light
Only your blue eyes are in sight
My lips in warm bliss
As we share a winter kiss

A warm breath we share
Its a little bit to much to bear
She pulls away, eyes dancing
She gives her house a glancing

She speaks in a quiet voice
We don't have a choice
She pulls away
She can't delay

She give me a shining smile
I stand there for a while
the warmth still there
I trudge home half aware

I lay in my bed
I feel half dead
Smile still on my face
I drift to that familiar place

We all have puppet strings
They hold us together
They are those certain things
Delicate as a feather

We are simply actors on a stage
Actors come and go
Everyone is on a different page
its the never ending show

We perform for those we can never see
Just sit back and play your role
And  they see, they'll leave you be
Leaving you unaware and whole

Are we alone, acting in fear
Trying to follow everyone's rules
Is there an audience out there
Or is this be the stage full of fools?
