hurtful things were exchanged.
time after time.
you would think we would change.
time after time.
after every fight.
time after time.
we become less lenient.
time after time.

but here we are
for the last time.
talking it over.
for the last time.
but, for the last time
i will say i love you.

we've been friends for years,
but if we changed once
we can change again.
if we shall start again.
we won't waste time fighting.

because i'm pretty much over it.
this is dedicated to my friend devon. me and her have been friends since seventh grade and now that we're freshmens we have slowly grown apart and we fight about everything. but devon, if you're reading this i want you to know that i love you.

the more you victimize me,
the more i lacerate my wrists.
Paige Potts Nov 2010
if i started to count
the bricks, worldwide,
it would equal the amount
of times you have
hurt me, belittled me.

but someday that
number will discontinue,
and so will our relationship.

as you kneel and beg for forgiveness
i'll laugh at your repetition.

you can only forgive someone so many times.

caught in the moment.
don't blink.
it'll be over before your eyes open.

so as you promise,
i know you'll break it.

i'll give you my heart,
but you won't take it.

and your love,
yes you'll fake it.
Paige Potts Nov 2010
as i stare off;
i think,
about what we used to be,
me and you,
our love so free.
