Do you know I've been wandering,
In search of someone like you.
Another sun shine and I'm afraid you'll be gone
Is love a misery that never ends?
You'll save a soul, only with your simple nods
And that will light up the night sky!

I hate to fake and pretend
I'm too impatient to my wish
Yet it is a test I can't overwhelm.
Restlessness has become my strongest suit
Hope is a dreadful enemy!

If only this love is returned,
Moments and days would be a blissful possession
But what good is my admiration?
If it is to be unrequited and unrecognised....

Saying things that you already know
I fear I'll look so stupid!
I don't want to speak about something cliché
My friends tell me its gonna be fine,
They force me to say what they think is right
No flattery, no sweet lies!

She reads my poem,
Doesn't seem flattered.
Oh the Irony!
She is bored and silent
While I try and steal words
Shall I just step back and just let go?

She is Ambiguity,
God's mockery,
And this fools illusion of wisdom
Love is of all a monkey dancing in war!

There is a smile she wears
I am just trying to figure out,
What makes her like, all that makes her happy?
She can have my faith and my insanity
But this trail of distances is too treacherous!

She sways her hair
And the air turns mystifying
She hugs some friends
Obviously I turn envious
But does she ever feel it just like me?

My friends ask me to stay calm,
Distances are like water, they say.
But the times we are apart makes my heart yearn for her
And when she is around I try to stay at bay
I never understood Science, this is one

New beginnings beckon me, I feel,
How does one build love?
They travel to places uncharted
And find tales, novel and pure!
Just as my eyes open,
A tear rolls down my cheek

It is a favour I can never fully return,
Not everyone would understand this obsession,
It is one of the dreamers, prophets and hermits
I pray you understand it too....

Wondering if she is really the queen of fairies,
I wake up every morning with this thought.
The sparrows chirp me back to reality
I smell the sweet intoxication of roses,
And I realise all this while I was dreaming,
Those dreams belonged to my broken heart.
It is now after meeting her,
Now my heart wakes up anew.
Solemn, wanted and loved!
