Place

Everywhere I go Try to find my place Try to find one place Where I belong There must be somewhere I can find a space I can find one space Where I can be safe Every day I try Try to earn my place Try to earn my space Find what I can trade Try to hide my needs Trade my needs away I can only cry Where I hide my face I can only hide Where I have a space Where I have a place That they cannot find What I am inside What I learned to hide When they cannot face What they cannot place Try to find my place I can't seem to find Could it be This place is a state of mind I will take my strength I will build a place I will build a space Where I belong
