Cancelled plans

I started at my I'm in shock

I looked at the clock

I was supposed to go to The Valentine's dance

But my mom made other plans

As I cried and cried

I wish I had died

Rather then missing my one and only chance

All my hopes and dreams for this dance

Were crushed, I told my date

His face fell worth of late

All he said was one word, "Oh",
