World Cup Heroes
The young men and coaches who are playing hard balls
In the long-awaited World Cup Tournament are heroes
They hail from diverse huts, horizons and countries
And they know how to play perfectly many rolls.
And the referees and assistants are heroes too.
Countless soccer players or footballers
In this tournament are true heroes
They are great icons and tireless workers
And yes, they were born with special toes.
And the passionate spectators are heroes too.
Many of these young athletes are not afraid
Of the hypocrites and the racists. They’re outraged, mad
That FIFA’s goons have put them in difficult situations
Where they’re compelled to express their emotions.
And the rejected or deported staff are heroes too.
They know that they are there to play football/soccer
Not to engage in politics. They’re ready to compete like gladiators
And to valiantly defend the colors of their beloved nations
Unfortunately, racist and corrupt politicians are everywhere.
And I hope the future champions win fairly like true heroes.
