happy birthday

I turned sixteen today

I turned the age that I always said I was during games when I was younger

I turned the age that I used to think was so old

I turned the age that felt so far away to thirteen year old me

Today I made it to the age that felt impossible to get to

Next year I will say the same thing

but Today I am here

I'm not in next year

I'm not in last year

I am in this year

And all that I need to think about is that I'm here

turning sixteen

when just yesterday this age felt forlorn

But it wasn't

It isn't

I am here

You are here

and that is Pretty fantastic

I turned sixteen today.
