Scars

Some scars you’ve got there. Like you tried to rip your own heart out. Like you knew that he would come by and sweep you off your feet and never catch you once you’re falling back down. Some scars you’ve got there. Like you tried to rip your own heart out. Like the love he never showed and the way he twisted your feelings would’ve gotten you far in the race of humans. Some scars you’ve got there. Like you tried to rip your own heart out. Like his unfamiliar kiss on your adam’s apple could forgive the things left unsaid and the smiles that never came. Some scars you’ve got there. You let him rip your own heart out.
