image in the cloud

facing another journey without you

the wash of the night sky

the caress of the winter breeze

i feel the best in part without you

a dangerous truth

my rumination ruse

but i cannot forget the sunshine

the reason for my hearty roots

but i cannot forget the water

the reason for my stomping boots

i can’t thank you from this distance

i can’t kiss every wound and mistake

i wish i could understand the resistance

but i cant rewire fate

cradle it, kiss it soft

mumble to me all night long

my flight is taking off

you are the one that i see forming

an image in the clouds
