Eclipse

The Sun loved the Moon With a love so bright It lit up the entire sky, And when they were close In those brief seconds As day turned into night The color that rushed To her cheeks Set the horizon on fire. In the stillness of that moment, The whole world could feel The warmth of her affection For the one she would wait Earth ages for To glow, at last, as one In the light of an eclipse, If only for A little while.
