A Jukebox Mind

There's a jukebox that I find

Plays nickel songs inside my mind

Most come off as simple tunes

I hum along when in the mood

To some of them I even dance

I keep a pocket full of change

Try not to give too much away

When I need to liven my life up

I slide a nickel in the slot

Where in my head the music plays

Some people do not understand

Why this low attention span

Chances are what's going on

I'm in the middle of a song

And I'll get back to them when

This jukebox that's inside my mind

Runs out of songs to pass the time

Bringing quickly to an end

The tunes that play inside my head

Before I shut the light and say goodnight
