INSIDE MAUSOLEUM DOORS

A matrimony inside mausoleum doors

I feel the draft come seething in waves

All God's memories of me are fleeting

Floating into a plastic swimming pool

Back when the grass was teething

The sun scoured my young eyesight

Sunbeams echoing off the shallows

Excitement of summer was palpable

All was fresh & bright, a meandering

Voyeur-viewing the simulation

I feel the itchy friction of desire

Twinging in all the right places

As cowardice & collapse take me over

the clamoring water's edge
