Waiting

Every night I wait I wait for your call Your voice Your laughter I wait to hear you say That you're okay That you miss me That you want me back For a while You called and said just that That distance didn't matter That we were meant to be Every day I'm fine Everything is okay Every day I'm busy Studying Writing Forgetting But not forgetting enough We acted for the best Or at least what we thought was best Is this really over? It doesn't feel like an end But every night I wait I wait for your call Your voice Your laughter I wait to hear you say That you're okay That you miss me That you want this back But your call doesn't come I wait to hear you say That you love me too
