Good as Gold

by mike-hauser

Don't take this life for granted Enjoy the moments that you make Be careful opportunities handed Some of them might be mistakes Always show kindness to strangers Don't expect to be paid back If you say I'll see you later Hold securely onto that Tell your mother that you love her Tell all your friends the same Always keep an edge of mystery Never give too much away Don't let life get the best of you Stay humble for your name's sake When you do, speak up in truth There is no need to be afraid Don't get caught telling the secrets That you hold or you've been told A promise made, you need to keep it After all your name is as good as gold Be curious when asking questions Giving answers a double take Some lessons are mere suggestions Tomorrow will be a brand-new day
