I'll make a memorandum
Out of my paper heart
An effervescent manifold
It's all together too thin
I'll make a memorandum
To remind me that tantalizing
Beings reside among all pages
And that they are all extremely
**Tangible

Make a list
Wish I missed
Just another day

Check off one
Don't get it done
Tell myself I did

Blink my eyes
Filled with cries
Of just another day

Here I lie -
One vulnerable ear
to the marble silk of galaxies.

Even though
Your figure is an act
of miracle meteors
raining on the soft,
shocked retina,

the valleys
between your eyes and mouth
a dazzling constellation,

Your lullaby voice
a play of centered orbits
carved around me,

Even though the slow breath of you
is the many pulsing
gases, bright beyond
the fire of any human glint,

I am, firstly,
a sacred satellite
for the cosmic murmurs
of something grander.

How quickly that ember started to glow when after so long I saw you again
I could not imagine the feelings would ignite when  I saw your sweet face and felt your embrace
Thirty and five years since we parted and in a minute your embrace rekindled  my love

But we are not free to nurture  the glow
for time has passed and others have captured our hearts
Perhaps it would have been best to let  the memories of the past remain dormant
Than rekindle  a fire that can  not continue

To sit and spin
Our blood within.
Must travel & turn'th
For oxygen it yern'th.

So too the earth doth spin
Similarly warmed from within
It rotates around a point of union.
The generation of Helium from Hydrogen.

The sun releases its emission of light and heat
The catalyst that allowed your heart to beat.
So too the planets worship the star
Forever in view but yet too far

Although it can create
It can destroy without debate.
It shall burn until its fit to burst
And explode to what it was once first.

Stardust.

I see it everywhere
It's in your eyes and in your hair
That special way that you sit and stare.
Oh, to be part of a perfect pair.

Only such beauty could be formed from a shining star.
If only you were not so far.
This started out as a poem about another topic entirely but ended up being the subject of an obvious infatuation i appear to still have.

the other me
the other you
so natural || parallel grazing... like soft kisses under cool sheets
never have touched, yet can tickle so much, again, again, experience the other explicable and envigorating, so much that the _ just can't be contained/pressed/expressed truly in simple written words.
goosebumps, held breath, who would have thought simple presence could see & show & feel so much
so nervous, so anxious, so amazed, so curious, yum - it builds - this tension
such T.O... even if this other us will never meet on this side of the reflection, it's okay.
there's no off-switch it seems... and i love all that it is and i love All that it is.

the things to do to say to feel, so unreal and so-su-re-al
if there is such thing as an un-provable-un-disprovable bond/natural affinities/of us;
no motive, no agenda, yet muted from any role other than to Be...  impossibly, but possibly
the other you
the other me

Wet enough,
a paper cup
will wilt in
petal folds to
flower.
