From an enchanting afternoon to "you weren't mine to lose"

I drank coffee; your nervous laugh
Watching you speak, your brow danced
Banter played, now you've relaxed

Our chapters read. What comes next?
Paths divert, we neglect
Heart and stomach tight- "him too?"
Over the table
We kiss
Fin.

More
Carless we made
Hours a time, faces on screen
Muscle on my face, I'd forgotten
My chest, how'd you do?
"Can we meet again?"

"See where is goes"
Drive an hour
On the couch, your heart sounds
Your chest, sanctuary
My sin, habitual greed
Desire more

The day, not to plan
Nail in rubber, no matter
The couch, we stay
The TV, play
Our bodies one
A kiss, my familiar
A hug, goodbye

"We need to talk"
My heart drops
Divergent storyline, no compromise
"Think on it"
You've decided
Our hearts, akin desire
Yet still goodbye

Understood
Mature of you
Yet no ease
Only 2 weeks
Wasn't love
"Spanning skylines in my mind"
It would've been

A week after
Ever blind
"You weren't mine to lose"
A fantasy's died
Silly me

Your beauty
Etched in mind
We would've been...
Should've...
Could've...
Love

Tonight
Alone
My pillow, sanctuary
A fantasy, I dream
Goodbye

Humanity, a design of grace,
Each individual crafted by the Divine.
Clear to see their grace,
Seen in their faces, smiles, hearts, and minds,
Beauty envelops their every move, every act,
Humanity, Beauty without end.

Oh, how easy to see, but we do not see;
By divergences, we are blind.
Blind to all that is good, we hate;
Existing in different skins, we hate;
Speaking in different tongues, we hate;
Loving in different ways, we hate;
Living in different ways, we hate;
Calling divinity by different names, we hate;
Pledging loyalty to different states, we hate.

But why?
Too hard to love?
To see we are the same?
That our hearts beat the same life through our veins?

From divinity we have fallen.
Without love, this sight, our grace, crafted in the image of the Divine, is tarnished.
Made beautiful but free to fall, we choose to fall with hatred in our hearts.
With this hatred, this blindness, our paradise is lost.

Oblivion, my old friend,
How we taunt and play once again.
"My Heart", I am no more.
A love I knew is no more.

But you, always there,
Give immortal love.
We had danced and played, but I fell back.
I tasted your kiss,
But your love, I wouldn't chase.

Now, my heart is lost;
I am Oblivion.
Shall we then tempt no more?
We are the same-
Could a love be more pure?
To you, I give, for I'm no more.
Can you forgive, and love me more?
For Oblivion, I am yours.
