Depression isn't feeling sad for no reason. Depression is waking up paralyzed from doing your simple every day tasks. It's when the thought of whoever hurt you comes into your thoughts at the most unexpected times. Love becomes hard because you don't feel as if anyone loves you. You feel this gray shadow come over you and take your entire life over. It's when you wake up in the morning and keep pressing snooze on your alarm simply because you don't have the energy to get up and start your day. It's when everyone you've ever cared about seems to think you're just "having a rough time right now" but you'll "get through it". Not realizing how heavy the gray feeling is. The most beautiful colors become dull. Fresh air seems hard to breathe in. Your favorite foods dont seem to be anything but tastless calories. When your whole life becomes a nightmare that you keep trying to wake up from. The one thing that keeps you happy feels like it will slip away just as easy as your whole life did. Everyone that's ever seen you at your happiness doesn't want to be around for your sadness. Depression isn't feeling sad for no reason, it's losing the ability to feel anything other than sadness.
