Voices of Insight
Nick Jacob Jan 2010
Born into this world through pre-existing spirits
Discovering the world through all my spiritual rivets
Designing new paths over my ancestor's lives
We are walking alone in our desperate hives

My body filled with the spark and symmetry of fire and water
Guiding my soul through life for its purpose which might not matter
Seeking knowledge, love and lucidity on this mortal trail
Our legend forgotten and lost, completely off the rail

As we are kindred and divine
The life of a human holds the key to chime
I share my soul to be alive and free
Right as our history stretches up to greet thee
The future advances like an unstopping ocean
At my wake the sound of generations

The art of humanity conjuring up from our planes of life
The land in past and future being the essences of strife
In every plane exists nature, love and knowledge
A voice of voices, the voice of the world

I have walked alone and to the edge all of my life
My human mind like a vast ravine filling with knowledge
It shows me true compassion for karmic deserving, a life of college

A time to share your soul in water and land
Just another day to show the God of knowledge withstands
Human peace and understanding provides the answers
We are all seeking promise of divine ability to give us chances

We take our knowledge and lessons for the records of life and time
The moments coursing through my body like a silent mime
I am but a human with a life to climb

Tempus II
Nick Jacob Jan 2010
The fire of time sparks a radiating aura that gives even the weakest of souls a glimmer of light in the unending darkness that binds us to discover the depths of life, thus the scorched do burn with the passionate fury of existence.

The shattered heart radiates warmth in even the darkest of places. Is it not said that the light that has shown so brightly in love can dim with anguish just as quickly. Truly a human has penetrated the darkness within when his heart takes unto it the burdens of life and love.

Blessed are they who discover the inanity of self sorrow, and look toward a lucent fate of joy. The soul of a man who has returned from the depths of torment glows with a calm solace that soothes his wonderful heart at last.

The discernment of the heart is a striking revelation, lovingly easing the afflictions we carry from our past, into the future. As we move forward, one must admire their past and gently gaze into the future, for they both have bearing on how we live today, and surely make you the person you are right now.

Tempus I
Nick Jacob Jan 2010
Do we not say that time know no bounds, like an endless mill of flowing water. For that life is a delicate balance, constantly on the brink of shattering, a burden that is known forevermore. Alas, the dawning light marks a new beginning, but today weeps only sorrow.

It is true the heart can fracture, but with it infinite wisdom is gained. It is said not to fear hope or regret your despair, the memories of both bring promise of brighter days, etching a tranquil peace into the eyes.

The light is seen, but rarely kept. The dark is felt but seldom remembered; for it is a mere glimpse of our very existence. Our broken words breathe luminous spark into the world, a moment of radiance the morning star yearns for.

As today brings sorrow, yesterday lovingly sighs away the regrets. The memories, and the emptied wishes that it has borne alone and alas it finds its face, unlined by the years that have changed your fate, right inside you after all.

Tomorrow? It is not for us to know. The past indeed shines brightly on the future, but for this it has no place in stone. The advancing steps that are made surely have no determined path, for we are all adrift, floating through life’s stream.
