It takes,
months to fall in love
seconds to hate
Years to forget

But in all this mess,
Moving on
Cannot be measured

For it could take
Hours,
Days,
Months...

All you need to do is wait
Natt Jun 2018
You started it
I had to end it

But how could I end something
That didn’t even exist
Natt May 2018
Flesh and blood
Still dead on the inside.

Making sure to hide it
Deep inside.

Cruel,
Worthless,
And unforgiving,

Humans.

A world that has
Become
Disgusting.

Humanity,

Where have you been?
Natt May 2018
Long midnight talks,
Are now short conversations.

Going out together,
Is now just a simple hug.

A joyful Hello,
Has now turned into a goodbye.

That’s how you changed from my closest
To a stranger.
Natt May 2018
You have this thing,
You crave attention.

You wonder around,
Jumping with praises,

But you see,
You don’t crave that attention from everyone.

You crave it from guys.

Compliments are your drug,
Being fake is your weapon.

You want them to want you.
You trap them in your charm.

After a while,
You leave them behind.

Taking a piece of their hearts
With you.
Natt May 2018
Thinking about it now,
I don’t think I’d be satisfied
If I was with you.

Maybe it was just the thought of having you
That drove me crazy,

Maybe it was all in the chase,

That want,
That feeling,
Has vanished.

It’s gone.

Thinking about it now,
I’m glad
I’ve moved on.

A Thomas Hawkins
Never fall in love with a poet
for their words are sometimes lies
on occasions they're a shield
on occasions a disguise

They will take you on a journey
upon which they bare their soul
in a bid to ease your burdens
in a bid to make you whole

But in every word they choose
for the stories that they tell
lies a little piece of heaven
and a little piece of hell

Tormented souls we poets are
sometimes quite broken and despaired
in search of lost expressions
missed by others who once cared

Never fall in love with a poet
unless you're prepared to share their pain
to hold them close on the darkest nights
over and again
