I am blind.
I only see as my thoughts allow.
With one look of your puppy dog eyes.
You open my mind.
Reality is now my sweet escape.
And dreams are meant to be feared.
I see the way my fingertips run across your spine.
I see the way you make me feel.
I see your laughter and peace of mind.
Wisdom and understanding I pry from you.
Listening to each word dance out of your mouth.
Feeds my craving to explore.
The more I learn, The more I seek.
I yearn to adventure into your mind
Into your heart.
I wish to see what you hold back.
Behind the curtains of your sight.
My eyes are open.

To the love that lives trapped inside of me…
You are constantly illuminating
The darkness, the emptiness you can’t see.
With your heart in me, eliminating
My fear of suffering being alone.
I will forever cherish perfect time
The phenomenal old age we’ll have grown.
Still in love, I will desire you as mine.
I will whisper words of love in your ear.
You are part of my infallible dream.
I will hold you tightly, year after year.
For you, I will write a ream after ream.
A sweet unspoken tale of first lovers,
Hearts with joy playing games under covers.
I wrote it as a sonnet A-B-A-B-C-D-C-D-E-F-E-F-G-G pattern but it does not follow the quatrains.
