Nausea comes
never mind the robotics
Outdated and primitive
something out of an old horror show
Black and white
with pale mustache movements

Flicker for some change
silence in the monopoly
Orange blue skies in the forecast
radio towers shadow homes
Cheap but unstable

Swerve for the limo
with it's rented passenger

Make room for concrete
with it's finalized oozing
Conclusions in literal stone

By all means

Grow grass before you build

Let the time be captured before creation

Let the giants stretch one last time

Before they pull down the clouds for warmth

Before they make rain for thirst

Before they break stars for spite

Manmade for a time
they now mutiny against the gods

What gods nobody asks?

We eat nuclear dinners
while television glow illuminates
Slack jaw chewing

The bits we miss fall down

Nutrition for one hundred hungry orphans

Feel the warmth of giving

We donate at the register because we want salvation

But we don't share the cheeto with the bag lady downtown

Broken stair case
denial
Gray concrete
old and cracked

Message by way of cup and string
a voice from the past
Faded but painful
rusted yet lovely

Said she drank herself to death
sent a selfi from heaven
Saying she was right and I am doomed

We make lust but call it love
animals in denial
Chemical fueled collisions
and innocents is lost

Broken home renewal
pass the generation general
This war needs motivation
this money needs consolidating
These masses need thinning

nobody makes it to the bottom

We all look down hoping for a clue

But these gods prove elusive

Nothing manmade in the organic

Nothing humble in the insane

TV personas
did me in
Fled my home
no shame to it

Confusion now
darkness now
Light displaced
stained mirror travesty
No images reflected
why can't I see my face?

Wander to a place not so sane
hoping to collect my thoughts
They went nomadic you see
can't say I blame them
No animosity in my harbor
no spite for the stoking

I arrive
somewhere faded
Somewhere incoherent
concrete flood gates
Mud waters for pooling
no cleanliness here
Dirt crusted and **** crops

Homeless sings songs to his reflection
pocket mirror extended
Strange vibes under a bridge
sings sighs to me
When I ask for the privilege

Submerged shopping cart
flipped and rusted
Stagnant breezes
why does one wheel still turn?

Ghosts floats past
faces framed and familiar
Turns to me and mouths

"Moonless motion makes room for madness"

My flight was real
urgency now
My inhibitions laugh
Echoed off shadowed archways
never looked back
I'm still running

All this trouble

Because I could not comprehend a world's corrupt catharsis

A body that doesn't sleep
Makes for a mind that doesn't keep

Unhinged chaos shattered night silence
The elephant in the room finally caved in

This one bled
this one prayed
This one laughed
this one played

Crow strewn solidarity through a black and white perception

A childish world left to it's own devices

Wanting trees
Neglected joy
Parks for the ***** stained fantasy

A vacant lot
A vacant eye
A knowing nod
A cosmic sigh

Crash course slum
Head first tendency
Simple machinery
Mainline normalcy

A memory of simpler times
left shaking and hysterical

Ride the steam till morning
Grand plans in the a.m.
Shrugged off in the p.m.

Pick and choose if the body must

But it all leads back to insomniac blues
Moonsocket Oct 2016
I look under the street
monsters dwell in unknown spaces
Fabrications of lost logic

I look toward the sky
see my forecast
Cloudy with a chance of church steeples

Dodge the pigeons
They congregate for what?

Concrete serves no comfort or nutrition

Just killing time with winged optimism

A *** at the L station said he stole a dead man's shoes

Awkward conversation with a badge

"How do you explain you didn't **** him?" he cries

"I only wanted his sneakers!"

His agitation was real

"No crime here officer"

Nodding my confusion I opted for a taxi

Yellow relief on a side street
Says hop in for a fee
A driver of Islam
Signs of apprehension

What a mixed up world we dwell in

When one stranger fears another

I say do not fear sir
I'm not one of them
We bleed the same
We need the same
I love you unconditionally

Made it to a house full of blues
Rhythm inside a sweat box
Feel at home in a freaks embrace
What's normalcy anyway?

Hotel rooms for crowding
Glass surfaces for smudging
Unknown mass distributes anxiety
Watch that fiend I say
He will steal your sanity

Fluids swapped for regret
Dawn dazed and depressed
Blinds don't hinder sunlight
or it's numbing exposure

Take a walk through a city I love
Faces flood forward
Peace in it's tide
I join the flow
Making my way
I see a new future looming into view
No time like the present

I wish I could remember the face
sky high homeless
Spins the route
screaming at nothing
Suited satans
move it over
Indifferent hands

Dim room decadence
piano bar
Sand crusted
coke crusted
Make them laugh
make me fly

Swamp excursion
out of the way
Into the night
No time for a plan
Strange actors
strange parts

Remember the plot
elude the destination
Made it intact

Handgun wedding
unsure relations
Nervous for love
nervous for hate
Questions
so many questions
No correct answer
no reasonable explanation
Tried excuses

Slow sigh
accept the body
Discard the mind
Ride the mental
stop the ride
48 hours in Miami
Moonsocket Oct 2016
Tooth grinding rhythms
spun dizzy by solitary kings
Watch the dollars climb

Enamel lost for moments like these
sanity on the counter top
No conclusion in it's beginning

Swollen mouths slowly splattered
spill mad plans at dawn
******* for organisms
sleep with procrastination
No walls broken
no justice served

Familiar biology is the culprits crutch

Written word is the madman's haven

See through it all in these strange silences

Hollow glances for the caregivers
who paint these spaces gray

Knowing nods for the wallflowers
Who melt into plaster backdrops

A sound subconscious falls short
Collect the notions for motion

But haste makes for unresolved sunsets

Lost time on a sideway
a good find for the straggler
Dusted off and put to good use

A path well trotted
A ride well worth it

No time for cruel gazes
no time for criminal persuasions
Master plan lost in red blue cruelty

Crumpled mass underneath the arches
resigned and malnourished
Hoping for a sane tomorrow

Wish it luck

Knowing no soul deserves indifference

Life rides come random in these moments and this passenger was car sick

Taking moments for consolidation helps make time tolerable

No sense for the creator who builds castles without walls

No sense for the observer who watches world's die
Insomnia makes for strange days

Outskirts Denver
highway panic
Road pac man

Find those walls kid's
it's past time
Four should do
but the roof is optional

Pull in
one car
Three puddles

No accountability here
no sane mind
No innocent persuasion

Red light haven
Named panorama
shape shifters
Cracked blinds
cancelled glances
One room
infinite timelines
Leave ours with the others
