We said goodbye so soon.
How my heart had ached.
Yet, a deed that must be done,
nothing we can do.

You are my greatest friend,
who understands me.
A brother that I've hoped,
you're a heaven sent.

Maybe soon, it will end.
We shall meet again.
Until then, my dear friend,
Here, I'll always be.

Hear the children’s laughter,
it is all the same.
High pitched and infectious,
a dear for the ears.

Black, white, brown or yellow,
they have the same smile.
Well nourished or starving,
they have one desire.

Some good fortune for kids,
having a true home,
with someone to hold them.
Someone to kiss them.

But an ill fate for those,
having such a house,
and not a home to go.
No one to embrace.

Yet… still blessed beings,
seeing no evil,
hearing only good things.
Uncorrupted minds.

Let children, be children.
Make them see beauty.
Show them the precise way,
let love be their light!

Dark, grey clouds in the sky,
unending rain cascades.
Some chilly air blows by
as it swirls savagely.
Water drips everywhere,
icy cold and sticky wet.
Some inconveniences,
bad weathers of our lives.
How we wish for the sun.
How we hope for such warmth.
Then again, after the rain…
A rainbow may be seen.
And, there is always tomorrow
for the sun may chose to show.
But, then again, if not…
Just don’t forget our umbrella,
for us to make it through the rain.
'A poem of hope.'

Flowers bloom then wither,
autumn gives way to winter.
Sunny day to rainy day,
dawn ending to dusk.

Life span for the living,
a limit for everything.
The sky has its border,
ocean and seas have floors.

Mere human as you are-
delicate and fragile.
Your strength put to test,
patience comes to end.

Yet tomorrow, you try again,
perseverance is the game.
No limits for trying,
your hopes undying.

The sun sets in the East.
Never good bye my friend,
tomorrow we shall see.
The sun will rise again.

A lovely page has turned.
Only the beginning,
never the end my friend.
A new tale is written.

Never farewell my friend.
Not good bye but good day.
I will see you again,
in my heart you will stay.

Just a familiar face
Right across the place
Once or twice, our eyes locked
Uninterested, no spark
Then, fate intervened
Our paths became one
Different as we are
Still not a glitter
We spoke a little
Simple questions
Short responses
The feeling of unease
Something about your voice
Its beauty up so close
Your solemn gaze
A captivating stare
With your divine scent
My heart skipped a beat
Can’t wait for tomorrow
To be near you once more
Maybe you’re a sorcerer
A love spell caster
How I long for you
I’m in love with you.

He told you he cares for you
They are trouble
He doesn’t want you involved
He gazed upon your face
Tried to read you
You gave him your broken look
He wanted to soothe you
To speak of love
You didn’t want to hear more
He said there’s no other choice
No other way
So, he chose the other girl.

                                                                     '
How you’ve cried your feelings out
To trust in him
Believing into something
Cry no more my dear girl
He’s not a man
Not even, to stand for him
He said he’s in love with you?
But to prefer you
He simply cannot do
They will hurt you, he told you
He won’t have that
He can never protect you.

She reminds me of a withered tree
Leathery and dry
Gone is the luster of a skin so fair
Diminished beyond repair
Her jet-black hair, shiny and vibrant
Turned snowy white
Fresh and sweet aroma of her youth
To a scent of an old rose
Her healthy frame lost its vigor
My ancient lady
So delicate… so fragile
Time awaits her
Yet, her eyes speak
Wisdom of the world
Her toothless mouth smiles
The joys of her past years.

Friends are everywhere,
Meet them here and there.
But, there are fakes, beware.
Use you, they will dare.
Abuse you, they will do.
Deceive you, I tell you.
Be on your guard,
Don’t fall too hard.
I had known each one of them.
They tore my heart back then.
But, have I learned?
I still love them.
For the Heaven had been kind,
He gave you, my greatest find.

Feel my spirit,
obsessive and fiery.
It’s unrestrained,
even with your cruelty.

I have been blessed,
God inhabits within me.
Shan’t be conquered,
your attack will be futile.

Eternally,
my fire will ceaselessly burn.
Tongues won’t be vile,
for I stay deaf with passion.

I
see you
Walking with her
Love is in your eyes
You
Adore her
Your actions show
She means much more
I
Can only
Stare and smile
Mixtures of odd feelings
Some
Small stabs
In my heart
I can still take
My
Soul longs
For your love
Do anything, I would
But
I won’t
Be a pain
To your sweet life
I
Want you
To be joyful
To be with her
Your
Treasured love
My greatest sorrow
And mine to endure
Still
I’ll stifle
My prettiest smile
Only for your happiness
I
Solemnly pray
That your heart
Find mine, somehow, somewhere
Someday.

(HORROR & FANTASY FICTION)

Arms and limbs grow numb,
as the air turns cold.
Lazily it falls,
sliding from above.

Wrists struggle in ache,
nasty, evil clasps!
Your hopeless mouth shrieks,
as destiny moves down.

Slicing back and forth,
slow torture of death.
Such fortune, the heart,
collapses in fright!
'A blade horror.'

To write is to be free.
An expression of one’s feelings.
It is a way to breathe,
to shout, cry and even to laugh.

Writing is to embrace,
A fantasy world you can own,
have a life you like,
aches and triumphs of your choice.

How, my heart beats to write-
My serenity… my passion!
Poetry is my sin…
my escape from realism.

Borne for the new day,
from the ashes it rises.
Gone is yesterday,
Tomorrow’s promise remains.

A fresh beginning,
as the morning sun seeps in.
Never an ending,
for a broken soul in search.

Gloomy memories,
lay behind and forgotten.
A new start to face.
It spread its wings for heaven!

Beauty is something for the eyes to see.
It could be the marvelous ocean,
under the pink and blue horizon.
A budding rose in a quiet garden,
where colorful butterflies, flutter by.
A little girl, vibrant with youth.
How her innocence captures our hearts.
Women with such sophistication.
How charming men fight for her affection.

Indeed, beauty is for the eyes to feast.
Such misfortune it isn’t forever.
How easily can it change its form?
Sunny day into a violent storm,
destroying properties dear to men.
Lovely flowers decaying into nothing,
their sweet smell clearly forgotten.
Young girls becoming battered women
with looks beyond recognition.

Maybe beauty is for the eyes alone.
Yet, a lasting beauty is not to be seen.
It is for the heart to understand and feel.
Everything under the sun has its flaws,
some real and vicious laws of nature.
But if we recognize them as they are,
delight in the good side of everything,
ugly circumstances as they may seem.
Beauty in our hearts will always remain.

Three wise men searching.
In a wide desert, looking.
A child was promised.

Myrrh, gold and incense,
wonderful presents they bring.
Fit for a true king.

A bright star, their guide.
Its light illuminating,
showing the right way.

Upon a stable,
the star shines brilliantly.
At last, He is found!

Shepherds are gathered.
Animals around are hushed.
The place is tranquil.

Angels are singing,
voices soft yet glorious.
Rejoicing for Him.

And there, the child sleeps.
In a soft manger He lays.
The world is at peace.

There is a place,
where you can go.
When everything has failed you,
and no reasons to suit you.

There is a place,
where you can hide.
To act as your own self,
where you can mourn your grief.

There is a place,
where you can think
To clarify some things,
to gain back your spirit.

There’s such place
To be at peace,
be alone and be at rest.
My place… my own embrace.

I can hear your sobs
You’ve fallen out of love
Regrets…. confusion
My heart bleeds with yours.

You tell me I’m a mistake
One awful nightmare
Anguished cries
Your gloom haunts me.

One bright tomorrow
Devastated beyond repair
Crushed dreams
Broken future.

I sympathize with you
Let my arms be your comfort
Let me shower you with love
But please, spare me.

They say I’m only a blood
Nothing more to waste
Yet understand my humanity
Let me live, my mother…

A hymn inside my head, your voice so dear,
you haunt me in my sleep and in my wake.
Somewhere deep within, your whisper I hear,
crisp and clear, as perfect as a heart ache.
Sad images I keep, nightmares I take.
Still, I go forward onto my own road,
towards the rising sun for my soul’s sake.
How I’ve prayed my heart be free of this load-
of the memory of your lovely voice,
or a tomorrow not meant for this world.
Thus, heart’s happiness is always a choice,
to go on and live as a wise man told.
Forever lingering, scars will not mend,
yet, someday its feel a forgotten fiend.

You were here all along,
I never knew that before.
You’re a discovery.
Now, I can feel you plainly.

You gave me your own voice,
that I can speak boldly.
You became my two eyes.
Now, I see very clearly.

You understand my pain.
We share the same passion.
You look into my soul.
I, into yours… We both saw.

Never can I forget,
And I’ll always be proud.
Never shall I regret,
the day I chose to be you.

Vibrant look vanishes.
A bright face into gloom.
Pink blush diminishes.
An ashen pallid look.

Lovely smile, gone astray.
Cruel bed of tranquil,
a sorrowful embrace.

her pure loving soul.

Steady pour of the rain,
a hypnotic hymn.
The morning air grows cold,
a warm blanket’s comfort.

Must get up for the day,
no more time for delays.
Still the entranced mind sleeps.
Ten more minutes, please.

Some moments gone astray,
satisfying embrace.
The blanket’s coziness,
my sweet pillow’s softness.

Waking up with a start,
panic gripped my heart.
Peaceful moments, a bait.
Now, I am really late.

She was a great cook
a good wife
the best mother
If you need a friend
If you need a sister
Someone to talk to
for a decision
for something serious
or just plain silly
she’s here
She’s a strong woman
with such great will
She’s a fighter
She would battle for her life
for us
She wouldn’t want to leave us
But, God has plans
And so, mother, we are letting you go
Thanks for your kindness
Your guidance
Your love
Thanks for the memories
Good bye, my dearest
And, to our good Lord
Thanks for her 51 years!

To be a child is a gift,
laugh and play all we desire.
Delightful unending search,
of things, some treat for the eyes.

Some people stay as a kid.
Real grown men as they are,
or with children to take care,
they choose to stay young at heart.

Not with selfish childishness,
with them as the sole center.
But keeping courageousness,
compassion for the others.

Evil people my harm them.
Yet they forgive and forget,
believing in Someone,
to comfort them of their hurt.

We may feel alone sometimes,
Best bring out that child.
Because there is a Father,
always here by our side.

A little girl was excited,
on one special gift, delighted.
With the sweet thought, she slept,
hoped for the promise be kept.

Early morning, there were gifts,
boxes with beautiful lids.
From the love of her father,
pretty gifts like no other.

But the little girl frowned.
The missing gift was learned.
Her father, she was hoping,
had left for a meeting.

My friends, the message is clear
In love, remember so dear;
It is a commitment.
Let time be its fulfillment.

Time can be an eternity,
Ungenerously slow and cruel
How it affects one’s sanity,
to wait as it painfully rolls.

One may choose to sleep it all.
Take no notice, just let it pass.
Others try to tolerate time,
Opens their eyes, no other chance.

Thus, time can be strikingly fast.
No warning, no roars of thunder.
Just some merciless lightning flash.
It hits at life’s finest hour.

Have you told her how much you care?
Have you grabbed that opportunity?
Move on for your destiny,
Waste not, time can really fly.

Many times, you have been fooled
of beautiful promises.
Yet, you still hold,
waiting for news.

Countless times, you have been hurt
of people you dearly love.
How you’ve grown numb.
And still you hope.

You’ve encouraged many lies,
smiled with your innocent face.
You can only sigh,
wait for the best.

You seek for sincerity,
of mankind’s pure honesty.
Imperfections-
such faults of men.

You can only sympathize,

Why do people die?
My deepest agony.
Once it was natural,
today it’s personal.

Why do people die?
My pain, my sarcasm.
Once my life was perfect,
now it’s a complete wreck.

Why do people die?
Silly question I ask.
We knew all the answer.
Yet I painfully ask.

Why do people die?

Love is a game
We lose, we gain
Real lovers gamble
They hope, not tremble
I am a risk taker
Gambler, his true lover
I gave him my soul
My heart offered in whole
I was told I’m a fool
To give my love in full
But that is love, isn’t not?
To give it all without a thought
For in time of trial
There will be no denial
No wondering, no regret
Given it all, he won’t forget.
