Forest Valley Home
Merick Mishurin May 2017
Sun sets over valleys of coal
Fire scorched up through our soul
Cries of longing echo the trees
As from their homes mankind flees
The burning buildings pushed smoke to the sky
People yearned for past days and struggles to get by

Valley forest home of mine
No matter how, we pray blind
It's the glory we hold that makes us fall behind

Hallow holes blanket the road
A town once so bright, now falls cold
Sparks smolder into the night
If only we could love some more
Than we'd brace what we have in store
Don't run, you know it's right

Forest valley home of mine
No matter how, we fall behind
It's still burning but we'll be fine

Memories of tomorrow
Merick Mishurin May 2017
Lay the lies later,
bring me the truth after tonight
I have been searching for
Something that makes me feel alright
Powdered kisses
Burrow me down and test my might
The door is open
You know I won't put up a fight

Look to the sky
Life passes by

Phantom follies
Playfully run round my plight
Gone tomorrow
With no break found in your sight
I will be here
Go follow the lords bright light
Pull away and
Yank the noose around oh, oh so tight

Leave me alone
I'm on my own
I will be wherever
The wind has blown

— The End —
