my dreams are empty
as my conscience seems to be
for my emotions in life
you physically are not able to see

i CAN be loving
but then again i can be daring all over again
but when does the game end ?
and who stays with you then ?

so i'll rather hide my fears
laugh away the tears
waiting for the one
to climb my walls and tear it down

until then
i'll be a disguise
a mystery .  a locket
behind my eyes

Last night as I lay sleeping,
a vision came to me.
It was of you and I, my love,
a wondrous sight to see.

And in the dream I had,
I reached and touched your face
I clasped your hand in mine, my love,
and felt your warm embrace.

I pressed my lips to yours,
to taste your kiss so sweet
you held me for a minute,
in this moment that did fleet.

I wakened from the dream,
with a thought of you that stayed,
But once again I was wrong,
My heart’s desire was never made

when I started as a seventh grader
I didn't think life could be greater.
Soon everything fell apart
and you pieced together my broken heart.
I opened up and let you in;
I never thought you'd hurt me in the end.

I never understood what went wrong.
I didn't think it would hurt this long.
All the things you said to me,
I always thought we would be.
The past we cannot forget
But our hearts might be filled with great regret.
I've survived heartbreak and I'll do it again.
I cannot dwell on one of you men.

Love comes your way each and everyday,
It isn't obvious but is shown in a different way.
Some people feel it and others don't,
There are some people who just won't.

Loving is living,
You have to be giving.
Hiding away won't solve the problem today.
Embrace each chance to give your heart away.

Love hurts but takes chances,
You will find different romances.
I will open my heart once more
But my heart will always be sore.

The life I’ve known
Was like ice and fire
Just to be free
Was my only desire

Free from the hurt, pain and sorrow
Holding a dream for tomorrow
We were beaten, had curfew’s so cruel
life and his army commanded those rules

We were spat on
And left to die
Emotionally drained
Too weak to cry

We stood each day
Battling to survive
Fighting each minute
To stay alive

We had no life
No chance of surviving
We endured terrible things
Heaps of people dying

We turned on each other
What else could we do?

I still feel the pain
My thoughts are still raw
It’s engraved in my brain
The things that I saw

So I told my story
For everyone to hear
But I still live each day
A life filled with fear

When I come to this place
I remember the ways we went
It reminds me of your face
And the good times we spent

Every part has it’s own special meaning
It’s like love when you get that warm feeling
So when days get hard I come back to see
The beautiful memories of you and me.

You will never know just how much you mean to me
you will never know what it means to be free
Free from the hurt,the sorrow and pain
Free from the world and the problems you gain.
Facing the world  is not always fun
But with you as my companion my happiness  has just begun
