I shall be sleeping soon

And you
Too

So sorry to bring
This news

But I shall be sleeping soon

With you
Mike Adam Dec 2016
So tired
So sleepy
And curled
Your *******
And my arms
All around.

Too tired for
Thought
And only the
Whisp of hair
Curled
Mirror whorl to
Ear

Match to fierce
Tornado
Passion

And so tired
So sleepy-
Disarmed

Sleepy eyes, Bear
Sleepy eyes,

Sniff the nest,
Winter warm and
Furred

Den and stretch,
Sniff slowly
Spring growth...

Sleepy Bear open
One sticky eye-
Sleepy eye
Unden...

Hungry one shake,

Scratch and rise,
Open sleepy eyes...

Emerge to

Feed

Mike
Adam
Awoke to find
He had transformed
Into a dragon.**

His snoring had set
The bed alight.

He rose quickly.

Melting a toothbrush,
His wings flapped,

Mirrored.

Held down his whole life,
Finally-

He decided to fly

Little crystal
From on high,
Atmospheric;

Icycling down
To ground and
Fluffing the land,

One yellow crocus
Brave above light
White.

Then to compact
Hard,
Thus to ice
Slipping unsuitable shoes

And slushing,
Dissolving

Feeding drains-

The old who,
In their youth were
Pride and beauty
In fateful combination-

Now stare in silent
Contemplation at the
Embers of a life unlived
And wonder how the

This body is the
Flower of the Soul,
Critical Mass desirous
Of Being.

No shame in the Flower,
Full blooming or
Fading,
Petals droop, running to
Seed.

The End comes swiftly,
Nitrogen gravitates to
Tuber.

Gone away

Under water-
Poetic straw
Barely breathing-

Our words entangle
Like lovers

But not limbs-

And I am deaf too
and too dumb to speak
kind loud and slow
to your yearning ear

And also blind too
with distance unsighted
this burgeoning passion
too easily blighted

No language too pure
no dissonant rhyming
no sentence may capture
your precious flower

How the world has changed
Mike Adam Apr 2016
Oh we have met before my love
we met and merged before
became one many times before
spring fever shook the
tree of desire and the hot
red mist descended and
lusted in our eyes

Bodies entwined
vine and tree become one
once again in breathless love
come see the parting of the
limbs of tree and clinging
vine venerating old old bark

Oh how have we met beneath the
full budding trees
dripping red dawn the dew all
honey sweet the sweet dew

Sap rising kissing leaves to life
veins throbbing chrysalis
bursting to life the bears
and bees ******* honeyed flower
caressing the breeze oh this is
how we met our endless cycle of
love and being

Natural children we play in
natures rhythm we sing
the day the bright sun-blue day
we sing and whistle the black
night stars into twinkling being

This is how we met full summered
in the honeydewed grass of orange dawn
the unnaccountable wind (whence, hence?)
and yellowing golden crimson leaves
blown by the gleaning breeze to
nitrogen the earth at tree feet

Oh yes my love well met we were
caved furry bears nuzzling the winter
emaciating the cold steel dawn and
clung together in sleepy hungry comfort

In all the rhythm of our seasons
oh how we have met and merged
and being one enfolded
in the breast of world
in the sensuous fall and resolution
of the roundish cyclical earthly ball

Aboard a plank
Light revolves
Above steady
Pulsing waves

Lighting the way
Steadily pulsing,
In tune with
Distant stars.

In time, waving
Not drowning,
Lamp glows on
Faces pressed against
Berained glass bridge.

Starlight billion year travelled

Loving the steady
Pulse and poles

Of brave light
