The pieces have all fallen down,
I look like a **** foolish clown,

I fell on my ***,
On Cold Winter's grass,
I think I now want to drown.

My eyebrows have started to droop,
A circular life in a hoop.

It's hurting so bad,
Now I'm ******* clad,
I think I just need to ****.

New Beginning
Midnight Apex Mar 2019
To what depths must we fall before we demand a fresh start?
To what end are we vindicated to erase the past?
We fall in this small oblivion that exists only in our own hearts.
We are only justified if we never lose those shadows that we've cast.

I want to retake the days that I've lost to my yesterdays.
It's not enough to gain the time, but the soul of those many hours.
Will you let me go back?
Will you let me leave?

To Whom it May Concern
Midnight Apex Mar 2016
To whom it may concern,
My heart will start to churn,
I haven't met you yet,
But I will never forget if I do,

Your name I'd love to learn,
But until then I'll address this: To whom it may concern.

To who I'm writing to,
I'm sorry for bothering you.
Sorry for being such a *****,
But I'd love to get a kick,

That kick that I truly yearn,
From whomever it may concern.

To who will warm my heart,
My romantic counterpart.
I can't way for the day,
That's already had its delay.

The day I can adjourn
writing to: Whom it may concern.

Alone
Midnight Apex Nov 2015
How do you cure a case of being alone?
What do you turn to after searching under every stone?
How do you convince yourself that after 3 long years,
That there is someone that will wipe your tears?

When was the last time you made someone grin?
Did they smile at you or at something you hold within?
How can someone smile in good health,
When you can't seriously smile at yourself?

Why have you kept your mind tucked away?
Are you afraid people near you won't stay?
How do you soften,
The thought of carrying your own coffin?

Is there anyone out there for me?
Why have I forced myself into this final plea?
Will someone come along and make themselves my own,
Or have you left for heaven to leave me alone.

Sun
Midnight Apex Nov 2015
Sun
The sun is gone,
Though I remain.
I try to recall what I've won,
But I try in vain.

Something's left,
That was here before.
Life has made its theft,
I don't know what's left in store.

Smile
Midnight Apex Sep 2015
Its been so long,
so many days,
since you were gone,
and life became a haze.

I don't count the seconds,
minutes or hours,
from the last time you beckoned,
and my mind turned sour.

It's been so long,
But it's been just a while,
What did I do wrong,
*Why can't I smile

Life
Midnight Apex Aug 2015
Too hard to live on your own,
Too easy to find yourself alone.

Too long to enjoy every part,
Too short to the end from the start.

You (redux)
Midnight Apex Aug 2015
It's been days.
Though it feels like weeks.
I know now that nothing stays.
Especially things that are unique.

I don't know what's happened.
Yes, I admit I'm lost.
But this ship that we both captained.
Has been both tipped and has been tossed.

What role can I now play.
Other than just a man.
Now that it's been days.
There's no other role that I can.

I don't have time; I have to start,
And I may seem strange for a while,
But I'll dig my heels into my heart,
Grind my teeth and wear a smile.

Days Away
Midnight Apex Aug 2015
It's a new one,
Come too quick for me,
But I'm done,
Nothing left to see.

There are seas of life,
That I haven't found,
And though yesterday cut me like a knife,
I'm ready for new sights, smells, and sounds.

Time has come to live,
No reason for me to stay,
Nothing left for me to give,
So I'll wish my days away.

Wind
Midnight Apex Aug 2015
Feathers come,
But they all fall,
Like my words,
They all stall,

Blink,
Life blows away,
Feathers gone before I think,
But my thoughts go astray,

There I was,
Sitting in fear,
World completely paused,
I needed all clear.

You gave me my thresh,
And my heart felt cold,
And while I just became flesh,
You were still gold.

I may have been far away,
But I am here.

I wasn't always here,
But I am now.

To be lost in this life,
I'm glad you found me here.

Before it was too late to matter,
I'm glad you found me now.

When you need a friend,
I'll be here.

When you worry about what's to come,
I'm still with you now.

For not many can claim,
That they have someone for them here and now.

You
Midnight Apex Aug 2015
You
These arms: for you to embrace,
When life is too hard to face,
This head: to rest your shoulder,
When the weather of life gets colder,
These hands: for you to grab,
These ears: to hear you gab,
This mind: to find a way to help when you're blue,
This heart: belongs only to you.

Joy
Midnight Apex Aug 2015
Joy
Joy is not best described as a feeling, but as a person.

Joy is that person that can warm a cool day,
Joy makes you want to never leave when you can't stay,
Joy takes out your best features when they try to hide,
Joy is that one you know will always be by your side.

You give joy your heart and soul,
Because you trust that they can keep those halves of you whole,
You give joy every thing that they could ever plea,
And that's how I know that joy is here now with me.

Where do I keep my mind,
I mean that question isn't really defined,
Physically it's in my skull,
But the further that I mull,
I ask where do my thoughts spawn,
Where do I find the beauty in the breaking dawn,
What gives me the drive to strive above,
How am I so rebuffed from love,
Why can't I concentrate,
Except in the times when I truly contemplate?

People
Midnight Apex Aug 2015
All around me people see the color of skin,
The gender: male or female,
Prejudging sin,
With neither background nor tale.

I see a person,
Who without taction,
Gets their judgement to worsen,
Only by their action.

Man or woman matters not,
But somehow us people are caught,
Trying to attach a label,
To one whose chaos of feeling hasn't been seen as stable

Why is race or color of skin,
Prevail the colors within,
For each mind is an ocean,
Withholding millions of colors of emotions.

Apologies
Midnight Apex Aug 2015
I'm sorry for confusing you so,
Trying to restate what we both already know,
I did hesitate,
Now I must contemplate,
In an inwards form that I can't show.

I'm sorry for muddling your mind,
Overstepping the role I'm assigned,
But you know you're my friend,
A bond that can't end,
Because I can't ever leave you behind.

I'm sorry for jumping the start,
For causing a reason to part,
I'm sorry for jumping the gun,
Leaving you to run,
And being an ephemeral part of your heart.

I'm sorry for acting so rude,
For not stopping even when I was cued,
And even though this list,
Is not full of my mistakes that exist,
Here is where my apology must conclude.
