I didn't ask much of you.

On the wings
  of summer winds,
I tried to breathe you out of me
         and
seal my lips tight round their own solitude

but (and I learned this one the
hard way) you
can only hold your breath
              so long
   before the body takes control.

                            No-
I didn't ask much of you at all.
     I only wanted you
     to let me believe-
     even for just a moment-

that you liked me best.
i have stood where boys have stood
an hour of their body in the ground
from their backs to their hands up
pricking gently a cool stroke of wind

and each parting softly sleep stole
into the easy crush of rain, and into
the always agape lips of wanting spring
Sitting her alone
I fill in the bubbles
Easily going through
Then I'm confronted
By this one question
I'm to scared to answer
I'm faced with lying
So I fill in no
I look around
And see no one
I'm all alone.
Once we have lost ourselves in dreams
The river ripples slow.
Whilst wind has ceased from swaying trees,
The dust falls where He strode.

A shadow finds a place to rest.
Our dreams pass lasting hours.
The silence warms us in its nest.
The rain pours gracious showers.

The cries of birds are silenced by
The leaves of autumn hues.
'Til morning comes and darkness dies
Our minds are still subdued.

The stars sit on my windowsill
But soon it shall be morn.
The bright blue sky, though early still
Shall flags of light adorn.

Those kindred hearts of old ones near
Shall keep ours beating still.
The purity of memories dear
Will our minds surely fill.

Around my feet I feel the sea
Her waves, my dream, they coax.
The splendid sea, she calls to me
Her whispers not a hoax.

The mountains pray upon their knees
For clouds to pass the moon.
The moon man sees the lonely trees
And sends a wind to swoon.

Once silence broke from whistling winds
The ripples start their dance.
The birds have stirred for nighttime's end;
A new day's given chance.

We children wake and rouse and blink
To greetings of the sun
Though stars no longer shine and wink
It's morning; night is done.
Our America sulks in the gutters,

in the rotten alleyways of those living in the shadows.

As corporations, as greed, as self-obsession

damages our life web.

Our America loves the lonely dying child,

as suburban 'mother's **** the illegal pool boy.

Our America peers through holey, worn fabrics

as bare-fleshed youth slaughter for

sweatshop brands.

Our America becomes the past

                     becomes unknown

                     becomes a dead fad

as mysterious men lure the idea of a future.
MINE!
There we were,
under the watch of the moon
and the distant traffic lights,
swinging from rope to water,
diving, turning, spinning.
Drunk on our youth,
we divested ourselves of our suits
and let the water sink around our bodies,
which glowed with untainted whiteness,
Clean&*****;&Free;
all at once.
We told each other we weren’t self conscious,
and maybe it was true,
but even if it wasn’t, it didn’t matter.
I have never felt so beautiful and alive,
as I did the moment I paused in midair at the apex
with the rope strangled under my muddy fingers
and let go,
my naked body under the stars and the moon and the sky,
flying weightless
through the night.
Howls in the night
Keep sweet Morpheus at bay
Some things just aren't right
That ******* cat is having his way
With the Neighbor's chihuahua again
STUPID CAT!
Rats are for EATING, not for making love!
The Earth opened her mouth and swallowed me whole

She started with my feet and moved slowly to my heart
I felt my muscles relax as she chewed, chomped and tore me apart
She jabbed at my eyes, she scratched at my spleen
I cried out for help but was never seen

I'm under her fingernails, smeared on her face
The scars on my back can never be erased
I gasp Quick! for air but could not breathe
From her loving arms I will never leave

The Earth opened her mouth and swallowed me whole
She keeps chewing and chomping
                                              but she'll never be full.
