Gone are the days of youthful flight,
Of beautiful women deep in the night,
No longer chasing the sun in the sky,
We came madly dancing until we died.

Wild, restless lads hell bent, full passion,
Held girls adorned in such silly fashion,
We ate our fill and soon wanted some more,
Not knowing what our lives had in store.

We watched no clocks, we took no time,
To learn the story of life's mystery rhymes,
Nor, did we think old age would someday be,
Our eyes were covered in youth, we could not see.

But life so fleeting, came like a rapid train,
Some learned to cope, some went insane,
The lasses were there, now lasses no more,
Come enter the party, come enter the door.

Yet, as  the band played those annoying songs,
We stumbled so blindly and followed along,
Till when the final curtain began to now fall,
We didn't really live our short lives at all.
