Can you hear it?
The hole torn open, weeping, weeping,
Always weeping.
Can you hear my heart's hunger?
It reflects upon my bones,
peeking through my skin,
Revealing inside it how little I live on,
I would have gotten lost
Nothing wrong with being lost
But now I am horrified
My pants fall off.
Can you hear it?
The monster creep-crawling inside of my soul
Scratching, clawing,
Twisting its way out of my heart,
My eyes wild
Hungry
Searching
Lost.
You left me cold, contemptuous,
I burn with rage and anger-
Can you hear why?
Fear this, the monster we've created
Together,
From someone so unique and beautiful
From someone who loved and wanted nothing more than love in return.
Look at what we've done,
Sometimes I can't breathe.
Can you hear it?
Bones seeking exit,
Heart twisted and scarred,
Breathing so limited,
I don't exist in here anymore.

Please put your scarf on.
It happens in the fall

when the leaves

make a play on these words

when my heart plays along

And

it seems we are all falling

into a memory

Or

into what will be

leaving one question

Will you be there with me …

even briefly?

If you were mine

for even a minute

I would pause all 60

of those seconds

one by one

till the last one

Then I will run

to next autumn

and wait for you

to fall into me again

Sat on the tube
Sardines in a can
They share a lingering touch
Young love, they all say
Beautiful, they all say
He smiles up at her

Moving through the station
Hands clasped against the lashing rain
Immersed in city sounds
Young love, they all sigh
Beautiful, they all sigh
As the mother smiles down at her son
