i looked for you in the forests
i searched for you in the sea

the sage then told me to look within
i did, and lo! i found You beside me!

This one was another dream-poem :)
Look me in the eyes,
Listen to what I say.
I look past the looks,
Ignore the way you dress.
I see you for you,
Not just a waste of space.

A confident mentality shines
Brighter than any light you can find.
Hurt from your past lingers at your heart
And it amplifies your ambition.
I see that, it shows a sign of strength.
Rather than letting your past preside,
You walk past with a positive mind.
No more looking back, you won’t rewind.
Belief in who watches over you
Gives you a determined attitude.
Take a leap of faith, let me catch you
I swear to you I won’t let you fall.

Being alone, you’ll settle for that
Independency is what you know.
Emptiness still lurks in the shadow
Eating at your need for someone else.
But, you still search in moderation
Patiently waiting for the right one.
You don’t indulge in all that you see,
You catch the tiger by its tip toe.
Reluctant, but ready for a change,
An opportunity has risen.
Rather than expanding your bubble
You pop it and take a step outside.

Not yet set in stone,
But you’re on the right track.
One step at a time,
There’s not a need to rush.
Let things develop,
It will all fall in place.
A story that has been started/ prologue. The plot and development is left for open interpretation.
Immortal, of gold and iron
And white wings
He is made,
They tell me, and with wide eyes
I listen.

Later, they say he is
An abstract, dark figure
With no face and no own heart,
And my thoughts grow louder.

And louder still,
Until I- strangely amused-
Discover the golden shine-
The iron twist in my skin-
And feel an odd pain
Between my shoulder blades.

Last night I saw
Little white half-moons
Surrounding my body
In a swirling echo.
Easy-
to write like this
to write-
and in a flash of bliss I tell myself
to lay aside
the pen and paper
delay-
until a later point in time

But now-
now-
never disrupt a running flow, they say,
and rightly so.
For now, I leave the words,
I let them go-
'cause what-

*Ah, give it up, my love!
Or have another go, but bear in mind:
You only find what your eyes see,
and see they do a lot.
All good, I say, now rest a moment;

and look:
what you have done here.
He is sick of looking at people,
at their heads,
from above.

So he climbs downwards,
unseen,
and dips into the shadow of a palm tree.

There he remains
until a child passes by
and frowns at the sight.

And he,
then,
mirrors the child
and after a while:

becomes the pavement,
becomes the street lights,
becomes the smoke that rises
the dust that swirls
around.

And at this very evening
as the sun sets,
all the smoke rises
and all the dust shoots

upwards again.
a wasp flew a straight line
from its nest to me
cloaked in puny sunshine
it thought itself to be free
unheard was its buzzing
unseen its rainbow wings
untold was what it carried
i only felt it sting
the suspension like a drawn sword
cut through the silence within
the absence of feeling retrieved
was healed by the relief of loss
an epitaph if to be given
would affirm the infinity of the end
a promise given in portions
partitioned to satisfaction
make one see through the gloss
to the plainness within
that grieves in honour and truth
shedding tears of blood
it tastes the purest fruit
in the acceptance of its pain
lies the moral of our story

they say she was broken too early
she picked up the pieces and
put them together crudely with tape
then she built the wall,
to hide her poor creation from the world

what they don't know is that her heart aches
just thinking of the city
her heart aches when she remembers the past
her heart aches when she sees his face
her heart aches because it will never be the same
