I swapped the chalk hills and beech woods of childhood
for peat and heather clad hills and pine trees.
Here you can see far, the Atlantic and North Sea swirl around our feet.
Big skies with big rainbows. I am settled in this place. It took decades to finally arrive. And its a daily reminder just the other side of the windowpane that God is indeed close, the beauty a sure sign of Gods presence, and I travel now without the need for a physical effort to get somewhere else. For this I am grateful. For this I travelled far. For this I made my sacrifices. And it will not be taken from me., because it cannot be taken, it is my spot, my kicking off place to eternity.
