Memories of Tomorrow

*A place in my mind where yesterdays memories
lose their will to see the light of another day
No time like the present filled with the thoughts
Which in just a few moments will take their place
Having seen this happen all too often before
And not quite understanding how or why
Those thoughts that will become my future
memories of tomorrow
But that's okay…
Time's not linear anyway…
in purple haze of reverie, the gentle visitor came
beckoning kindly…come, come to
our V I R I D I A N world* . . .

1.
On our cerulean sphere
You need have no query, nor fear
We open our non-gravity planet to guests
Even unlikely earthlings who pass the simplest flaxen-test.

2.
Much less needed, we bedaub
Our flavescent lava-vision, going beyond the orb
Mild kaleidoscopic fandango-swirls is our mossy cyan-matter
Triplet-hue colours felt only by the revered and well-known mad Hatter.

3.
To let you in on the cosmic-latte ripple
Our flowers range from acid-green to African purple
Blast-off bronze flora dance-blaze in  burnt sienna fields
Alabama crimson rocks and aureolin skies over anti-flash white seas.

4.
We confabul8 with deer, breezes, plumes
Such creatures roam free, for we do not consume
As slumber befalls us not, you wonder how we spend time
Frolic in universal peace; to welcome home stars as our rhyme.

you are so welcomed, celestial guest
Vortexiamus awaits
only
you

A rare rhymed piece (with one deliber8 break :)
So much (time) lost … so much can be gained … in silent seeking.

Sub-entry: THE SEEKER – The Who

Writer: P. Townshend

I've looked under chairs
I've looked under tables
I've tried to find the key
To fifty million fables

They call me 'The Seeker'
I've been searching low and high
I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die

I asked Bobby Dylan
I asked The Beatles
I asked Timothy Leary
But he couldn't help me either

They call me 'The Seeker'
I've been searching low and high
I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die

People tend to hate me
'Cause I never smile
As I ransack their homes
They wanna shake my hand

Focusing on nowhere
Investigating miles
I'm a seeker
I'm a really desperate man

I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die

I learned how to raise my voice in anger
Yeah, but look at my face, ain't this a smile?
I'm happy when life's good and when it's bad I cry
I've got values, but I don't know how or why

I'm looking for me
You're looking for you
We're looking in at each other
And we don't know what to do

They call me 'The Seeker'
I've been searching low and high
I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die

I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die
I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die

you're all grown up now.
look at them staring at you.
desire. envy. lust.
you can see it.
their intentions leaking out through
their eyes.
they trace your skin and draw you in
their memories.
oh poor mongrels.
inch by inch they get closer.
you can smell the foulness of their
being.
the stench of pure malice fuming out.
like predators.
and you are the vermin.

you're all grown up now.
but your past is catching up on you.
you cant erase the scratches of your misfortunes.
the wailing sound of agony in your voice
as you struggled to get loose.
it still haunts you.
the ghost of your past.
the ghost that defiles after a deep slumber.
a memento.
not a worthy one.

you're all grown up now.
but nothings changed.
you are still a shadow of your old self.
a victim of circumstances.
thats what you are.
you embraced the tragedy.
no tears can cleanse the guilt you
hid inside.
the anger in your voice,
the remorse,
the denial.
overshadowed by the pleasure in
your moans.
there she goes.
a visitor in a dream.
a pinch in the heart.
a blur to the sight.
the air i can't breathe.
Sometimes you feel sad for the sadness
That you didn't feel when you should've
Sometimes when you've had all that you can take
You find that you didn't take all that you could've

I wish I'd been there to tell you
that it didn't have to end this way
I wish you'd just kept believing
that you really would be sane one day

But you already turned it off —
The outsiders trying to find a way in

Turned off the volume of our voices;
And tuned into the hateful voices within

(Why didn't I see the signs?!)

You were right my friend, when you said
Those voices spoke evil to you
It was those voices which told you
That taking your life was all that you could do

Sometimes I feel sad for the sadness
I should've never had to feel
And sometimes when I think I can't take it anymore —
NO! — Wait! Just give me time. I will heal.

*I miss you more than ever, but take comfort in that you don't have to hurt anymore.
These ways of this world
And this life as it seems
It gets to be more chaotic by the day

My Mother, she's a strong one
Sometimes it appears as if she
Carries the weight of this world—On her shoulders

Determined to carry on
Even in the face of adversity
I admire the depth of her strength and resolve.

She never really lets it show
But deep down inside I know
She trembles with the fear of uncertainty

Even when things get bad
She keeps moving ahead
In her determination to see the good in the world

I sometimes don't know how she does it
When it seems things are against her
She holds her head up with dignity and pride

So here's to her endless supply of wisdom
And her ageless beauty and grace
To mi Madre'—My undying respect and love.
—The Boy With The Burning Match—

The burning match

A flame so small

On dried wood

Don't let it fall

The burning wood

With flames so high

A towering inferno

That reaches the sky

A forest fire

That burns like mad

For the dying animals

The world is sad

The world is on fire

And everyone's dead

And half the world

Was still in bed

Now everyone's dead

But spirits linger

The spirits turn to

Point the finger

At the little boy

Who played with the match

But still I must say

There is a catch

Was this just another

Forest fire?

*Or was this

The final funeral pyre?
That night — That one fateful night
The one where I slipped back into the world
Which I had fought so hard to come out of

That feeling — that liberating free feeling
Before my descent, I felt so alive!
I felt like for the first time, I was finally part
Of all that was going on

We all had fun — We had so much fun!
We talked, and we laughed,
And we listened to music in the bedroom
And watched the darkness slowly fade away

Then came the morning — A beautiful new day
That night was gone forever, but not from our minds
That night — That one fateful night
