He who owns himself
Marcus LaFleche Feb 2014
I am the master of any domain
all is heard, that I proclaim
Holding control, serenity and grace
whilst daring my trial face to face
my words heard, every story told
may the will of this man, never fold
the only thing that can make my will break
is a cruel twist, within thy loves fate.
First poem, intense I know, but I think it is a good first. I like to write poetry with rhyme... Hi open to all sorts of criticism

Such lucid beings
Marcus LaFleche Feb 2014
I dreamt that all humans had skins of glass,
t'was easy to perceive ones inside fast,
I was shown, mans very, mind, heart, and soul
all within a great crystalline bowl
rather than the filthy rag
encompassing wills like a drenched bag
oh, in this dream, life was so worth while,
although mankind was so fragile,

I awoke with a start, all was so hidden,
mankind like this room, dark, and forbidden
I peered through a window, no, not through
I saw what man sees, within what we knew
the chemical, science, god given facts
same thing that broke religious pacts,
all within thy sweet dreams skin,
O if life were like my mind within
2nd go, let me know if you have any good suggestions, always open ears.
