And then we met again
You so different
I am gazing
Are you you

Do we sit to pick threads
Do the ends meet
Harsh
M V Jayan Apr 2016
Gaze at me with
Starry your eyes filled
With condensed drops of love
Overwhelming the lids,
Throbbing in pain
The heavy heart.

On tip of a moment
Our naked merger,
Swerve not the gaze
At the flame in rear
Depth of breast.

Floating up and up
Move away we leaving
Past, hugging the new
Tearing open the horizons
Into unknown blind alleys.

Do you know what's this?
This unseen thread of tie
Lying loosely between us
Most of times, but get tight,
Very tight sometimes.

Yes, there was a beginning
When the knots were tied,
A tie in your mind and
A tie in my mind.

Sure, you were not sure that
You wanted this tie at all.
I too was not sure that
I wanted it either.
Nonetheless the thread decided
That the two minds needed to be tied.

And then time passed..
And the thread played
Its games of love galore.
Games of pulling us to our cores
The two knots merging together.
Games of stretching us apart
As though to snap the ties forever.

Some Big Hands pushed, pressed
And crushed us into such tiny spaces
That we turned into bright dot of star
Or pulled us so hard apart that we
Ended in separate planets.

Yet the thread was the winner tossing
Us about at dangerous gyrations.
We rammed into one another
With fatal impacts scattering us to splinters
Yet soon we got intoxicated within us
With the immeasurable sweetness of love.

This being the story,
Do you know what's  this ?
What do we do with this
Seemingly all powerful thread
Of what-ever-is between us ?

Do we cut it to bleed,
Run away from each other
Thinning the thread to an idea..
Or do we leave it as it is.

Your kiss was suddenly wet
As a fresh drop in summer
Dripping within me.
That the crowd couldn't see
It was so fleeting.
You weren't in shame
Rather were beaming.
I had my questions
You receded waving up and down.
Wanting  to run to catch you
I was tied in the dream.

Life has no particular meaning
or meaninglessness
Life has no state of greatness
and it shouldn't have
Life should've pains
and occasional joys
Life shouldn't  be stagnant
its just a journey
almost an aimless journey
reaching and non reaching
have same worth
Standing at starting point
or reaching thus far away
or crossing the horizon
are all the same
And then the blinding
brightness will blind one
when those infinite eyes will open
wide,  unable to close.
Pain will retreat in disappointment
One will keep moving as infinite joy.

The flower was there
Most innocently , soft, silky
Full of fragrance.
My mind couldn't hold.
It went over it,
Smelt & erupted in joy.
And the flower whispered:
Enough,
I'm fulfilled.
My heart shouldn’t have profusely bled
I saw her face only once
a moment’s crossing in a moment paid
not meant for a second chance!

The fire shouldn’t have leapt in me
she was a doomed emotion
trying to live in my penned poetry
meant to be only a notion!

My mind shouldn’t have imprisoned her
caged her from one mere glance
lived the phantom of an absurd affair
spilled ink in a mad trance!

I shouldn’t have sought her anymore
searched in the wild her trace
she couldn’t be my paramour
I saw from the crowd her face!
