If your home is not a mansion

In fact it's really rather small

There's no storage cupboards

Stuff littered in the hall

Carpets looking rather worn

Chairs ripped at the seems

Floor boards loudly creaking

Gaps showing in between

Don't forget it's just a building

Still standing when you go

People won't remember this

Instead they'll surely know

It was how you made them feel
As they were greeted at the door

If you welcomed them with love
Like no other has before

For this you'll be remembered
Doesn't cost much to be kind
A pleasant smile
A gentle hug
Has most impact
On the mind

Each day is a blessing
Never to return
Another page turned
Til our chapter is done

Each day holds a memory
As our life unfolds
Revealing our journey
Of our lives untold

Each day that we're given
Should be used in a way
Lived like its the last
As we're not here to stay

Speak only with kindness
Show gentleness and care
To those that are lonely
Let them know you are there

Give patience understanding
Whenever you can
Be a shining example
Amongst your fellow man

Do not give to receive
For self credit or gain
Reach out to all
In distress or in pain

I ask is it time?

We've reached a cross roads

No direction

Forgotten our promises

Just going through the motions

So I will now ask the question
Shall we quit

Problems are the seeds that help us grow

Only by our  mistakes can we learn and know

The things that hurt us and cause obstruction

Can also lead us to  the greatest production........

It only has four letters
Yet no matter who we are
Despite all of our differences
We search for it
near and far

Some don't understand it
They search their whole life long
Others try to reach us
Through their lyrics in a song

Many try to find a way by the giving of the rose
Or  by  the writing of a letter
Hoping that it shows

Our approach when we express it
Should b as gentle as the dove
So pure so light
So clear so bright
So powerful  is....... LOVE

Love is a small word
Spoken often I know
But it's also
Important to let it show
If there's someone you love
Why not show them today
For love isn't love
Till you give it away
