No restrictions on our choices
We have a designated time

It doesn't really matter
If you are rich or poor
But how we treat our fellow man
Reflects the consequence
We endure

So smile at the stranger
You pass on a busy street
Welcome all who ask of comfort
Be kind to all you meet
Do not judge with hatred
Or turn your back on those in need
Show a heart of warmth~compassion

From the beginning

Separates those passed on

From the land of the living ........

Only when the skies are dark
And there's no sign of any cloud
Do all the twinkling stars above
Dance happily and proud

Only when the skies are dark enough
Can we then see
The beauty of the endless lights
Within our galaxy

Only when there's darkness
And the heart is filled with sorrow
Do we then seek the light to guide
The paths of our tomorrow .......

To laugh at oneself
Is surely the key
By not taking
this life
Too seriously........

I speak the word failure
with a heavy frown
To fail is not~ in the falling
But in the~ staying down

Problems are the seeds that help us grow

Only by our  mistakes can we learn and know

The things that hurt us and cause obstruction

Can also lead us to  the greatest production........

From a darkened state
I will arise
No longer will I hear these cries
Of wounded thoughts
Of heart felt pain

Once more I will arise again

Towards the light I seek to find
That heals the heart
The troubled mind
Peace within
my aim
My goal
A flicker
Of hope
To heal
My soul
At his feet I kneel
In humble prayer
To tell him of my pain , despair
I feel the warmth
Upon my face
As tangled memories now erase

His light

So much more than letters
Or sentences that rhyme
Much more than
just some written thoughts
That pass away the time

It's as powerful as the ocean
Reaching depths of the deepest sea

Or even swim the ~roughest sea
Then make the choice
To spend each memory

I could carve your name into a tree
Or send you a bottled message by sea
I could display your name way up high
By aeroplane up in the sky

I could leave a love note at the end of the bed
Or a telephone answer machine message instead
I could sing you a love song
That simply says

There's so many ways ....

As scattered leaves fall to the ground
Time
Echoes
Loud
Through silenced sound

No words are uttered nor required
No sound nor feeling leaves us inspired
No sight more captivating
No ryhmme or reason
Touches the soul
As  natures changing Season

Time slowly measured by each falling leave
As we embrace  the change in the air we  now breathe
So much long gone
In our haunted past
Measured temporarily
Nothing meant to last

All but an illusion
Our lives built on forever

Turning our backs
On the truth
Of never..........

People speak through colours
But they don't realise
Sometimes they hide behind them
Their a reflection of the eyes

Colours are a language
That each of us convey
A way we all communicate
In a subtle kind of way

When we choose  the colour yellow
Our child within seeks fun
The heart feels warm and gentle
Radiant like the sun

White displays purity
A need to start a new
A calmness found
Security sought
When we choose the colour blue

Red speaks of a confidence
Of one who likes to dance
One who dares
One who dreams
Of beauty and romance

Green it tells a story
Of one who's brave and bold
Not afraid to speak their mind
But doesn't like being told

Orange speaks of someone
Full of energy and zest
One who likes to sing out loud
And always does their best

Purple wearers like the peace
Of quiet natures sound
They are not ones to meddle
Their feet firmly on the ground

Pink reflects a gentleness
A reluctance to fight
Preferring nothing heavy
Keeping all things light

Black ~beige and grey
All neutral
Speak of those in the background
they'd rather be spectators
Of others all around

My aim when writing this poem
Was Simply to amuse
But has it got you thinking
About the colours
That you choose?

All that man has ever thought
Or what he'll ever be
Transpires through
Documentation
Written
Throughout
History

Past from generation

The quietest of friends
The most patient of teachers
On whom one can depend

To mans inventions
Regardless of the toil
it took
Even  our  creator
Left his words

Escape  cannot be found
Haunting memories of love
Echoes loud in silent sound

I close my eyes to sleep
But your smile
haunts my mind
No peace within
No rest awaits

The animals there that graze
Upon its newfound meadows
Eclipsed by summers haze

Love all of gods creation
Left behind for all to see
No greater beauty
To be found
In this world
Of mystery

I do not fear the earth I tread
Beneath these darkened skies
My quest  is to walk in honesty
Escaping deciet and lies
Each day I am reminded
By this challenge of mine
It's like scaling the highest mountain
That man will ever climb

Spring silently whispers to us
Visually from the ground

Birds singing in the treetops
Echoing life in ardent sound

A host of daffodils surround the trees
Softly swaying in the breeze

As the sunsets early morn
New life continues to be born

Such spiritual awakening
Found in Spring

Encouraging~ joy and hope
In everything

When silence falls upon my lips
And sound I hear no more

Then I'll be on my way to meet
Those loved ones gone before

I have no fear within my heart
As I reach my dwelling place

For I'll be with the creator
Greeted by his warm embrace

Do not be sad or sorrowful
Do not feel guilt or shame

No need for tears or past regrets
Nor anxious thoughts or blame

Do not fear my journey
As I will not walk alone

Rather know that I will be

How many times did I  not learn
From a lesson taught before

How many mistakes repeated
100 times or more

How many chances
Did I ignore  - to forgive ?
Then make amends

How many people
Have I  led to believe
To trust in me their friend ?

No value held in spoken words
Unless we act them out

Reassurance only found within
The heart that holds no doubt

A smile is just a gesture ?
A hug is just a squeeze.?

Manners don't mean nothing
Just words  - Thank you  and please ?

It's true these things are simple
But like a tender loving touch

Without them
Then we realise
They all meant.    ....... so very much........

The nights the years
Love that eliminates
My fears
The songs I hear
The sights the sounds
The beauty of nature
All around

The color green inspires
Thoughts
of all that's still to grow

The color yellow
like the sun
Warms natures earth below

Purple covers acres of woodland
In the spring

In the form of pretty blue bells
Amongst the birds that sing

Pink apple blossom trees
Sway gently in the air
As their petals leave a trail
Of divine beauty everywhere

Orange red and lilac
Not forgetting those
Each and every colour
Is found within the rose

A kaleidoscope of colors
Ignites this world
On which we stand

(There for us to marvel)

Almighty hand

So many days and years gone by
So many times I wondered why
You went away
No words were said
Didn't know
If you were alive
Or dead
Other People
Played their part
In trying to remove you
From our hearts
They sewed the seeds
Of lies deciet
Hoping to severe
Our desire to meet
But they underestimated
The power of love
That guides my life
From god above
No fear of man
Nor mountain high
Can force us
