Imagine the biggest brightest star in the sky,
a star that illuminates the night sky.
But it's now being ****** in by a lifeless, viscous, soulless black hole...
now the universe is cold.
It has become twinkle-less and soulless,
just like that black hole.

Imagine a dark night;
no moonlight,
streetlights,
phone light,
flash light,
store lights.
just complete darkness.
Having to fix your eyes to see in the dark as your pupils dilate to their biggest size.

Now imagine a girl whose soul is as bright as that bright star in the sky.
Her eyes twinkle without a smile on her face.
You can see the happiness within.
They say your eyes are the window into your soul.
Whatever is felt in the inside,
your eyes will show.

Imagine that black hole swallowing her soul whole,
leaving not an inch of light.
Now her whole world is cold.
Now her eyes no longer twinkle.
Now she's left without a soul.
her days are black,
dark,
without light just as that dark night.

She wears all black to depict her cold heart,
empty soul and deep dark thoughts.
Lingering around, she heartless,
trying to find love.
Trying to find something to help find herself again.

A light she sees,
but its so far away.
She goes through hell to catch this light.
Almost there!
"GOTCHA!"
She jumps to catch it only to miss it and falls right on her face.
Slowly getting up she thinks to herself
“what's the point, I'll never be happy again"

Her dreams are blank,
black!
A blur,
she doesn't remember what she dreamt about when he woke up.
Straining her brain she tries to remember, hoping to find a piece of happiness...
In frustration she lays back down
Blank stares,
deep thoughts,
flooded eyes.
this is a poem i wrote in 2014 for my creative writing class. i still think it’s one of the best i’ve written out of everything in my notes.
